參賽各隊在新的分配方案下將獲得更多的獎金
《世界體育報》透露，歐足聯會根據歐冠參賽球會的歐冠歷史排名來分配其中的5.28億歐元獎金，而歐冠歷史排名則由各隊贏得過的歐戰獎盃數量和近年在歐冠中的表現等因素來決定，理論上一家球會每年最多能從這部分獎金中得到3200萬歐元。
西媒指出，巴塞和皇馬兩家西甲球會因為歐冠的顯赫戰績，將會在新的分配方案下獲得更多的獎金。

It is reported that from 2018 to 2021, the total income of the Champions League will increase from 2.3 billion euros to 3.4 billion euros, of which 1.9 billion euros will be distributed to participating clubs as a bonus, and the total prize money has increased by 5 Billion euros.
"World Sports" revealed that UEFA will allocate EUR 528 million in prizes according to the Champions League's Champions League history ranking, while the UEFA Champions League ranking is the number of EURO trophies won by each team and in recent years in the UEFA Champions League. Factors such as performance determine that theoretically a ball can receive up to 32 million euros from this portion of the bonus each year.
Western media pointed out that the two La Liga clubs in Barcelona and Real Madrid will receive more bonuses under the new distribution plan because of the outstanding record of the Champions League.
