This competition consists of 10 male and female groups, including U9, U11, U13, U15, and high school groups. There are a total of 125 teams from 16 districts in the city, with 2794 athletes participating. They will compete fiercely in 384 matches over a month. The competition is hosted by the Shanghai Education Commission and the Shanghai Sports Bureau, organized by Shanghai Minhang Middle School, and co hosted by the Shanghai Middle School Sports Association, the Shanghai Campus Football Development Center, the Minhang District Education Bureau, the Shanghai Football Association, and other organizations. As an important component of the Shanghai Youth Campus Football "Four Verticals and Four Horizontals" competition system, the "Elite Competition" relies on the organizational system of the district's Youth Campus Football Elite Training Camp to select regional campus football elite sports teams to form teams and participate. This is not only a concentrated display of the football popularization and teaching foundation in each district's campus, but also a comprehensive review of its football scientific training and competitive strength.
He Meilong, Director of the Education Bureau of Minhang District, introduced that in recent years, the campus football in Minhang District has achieved significant results in the "dual line" parallel development, and the "whole learning stage" one-stop cultivation of football reserve talents. From a popularization perspective, there are 93 schools in the region that promote football teaching, with a campus football activity population of 102276 people and nearly 800 district level matches per year. In terms of improvement, Minhang campus football has won dozens of municipal level and above champions for many times, such as the champion of the municipal student movement meeting, the champion of the municipal decathlon series, and the champion of the municipal campus football league (U13, U15); We have transported 95/96 echelons to Shanghai Shenhua and 97/98, 99/00, 01/02, 03, and 04 echelons to Shanghai Port.
