The Haishang Economic and Trade Men's Football Team was established in 2006. It has represented Hainan Province for 7 times in the national big-footed competition. In 2015, it won the Chinese College Campus Football League (high-level group) finals. In 2018, it won the National Youth Campus Football League (college students). The men's high-level group runner-up in the finals has created the best score in the history of Hainan college football. The Hainan Provincial College Men's Campus Football League is hosted by the Hainan Provincial Department of Education and the Hainan Provincial Tourism and Culture Radio and Television Department.

China University Football League (CUFL), referred to as "Dazu" or "Dazu League", was founded in 2000. It is the most extensive, competitive and most influential football league in China. It is also the only national college student 11-a-side football event officially recognized by the Chinese University Sports Association.

In the 2017-2018 season, the big game was combined with the China High School Football League and the Chinese Junior Football Championships as the “National Youth Campus Football League”.
